A person who becomes a conservator takes on critically important responsibilities for another person in a time of great need. The purpose of the Connecticut Standards of Practice is to provide guidance for conservators as they perform this vital and demanding role. Connecticut law (C.G.S. sections 45a-655 and 45a-656) mandates that conservators be guided by the Standards when carrying out their duties.
